Moonlight in the Garden returns this November with more lights, more nights. Food trucks, live music, marshmallows and fire pits—they're all back. Don't miss the only opportunity to experience the JC Raulston Arboretum after dark. We'll open our gates each evening for you, your family and friends to explore this nighttime wonder custom designed and installed by John Garner and his team at Southern Lights of Raleigh.

JC Raulston Arboretum members can buy tickets starting Thursday, September 6. General admission tickets go on sale Monday, September 17, 2018.

Join today to get your tickets early. We have a few added treats planned for our preview evening on Tuesday, November 6.

Advance tickets are $10.00 for members and college students with valid college ID, $20.00 for nonmembers, and $5.00 for children 12 and under. Tickets purchased at the gate will be $15.00 for members and students and $25.00 for nonmembers, and $5.00 for children 12 and under.

We'll return to the beautiful grounds of ​Fearrington Village​, where ​dozens of our area's best chefs, farmers, artisan producers and beverage providers ​will create a dizzying array of delectable dishes highlighting the bounty of the season. The Picnic also features fun activities for children, live music, and surprises for the whole family!

Not only is the Farm to Fork Picnic delicious, it also benefits a great cause. All proceeds support beginning farmer programs at the Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS).

Your Local Soil and Water Conservation District 4 weeks away
Description: The Resource Conservation Workshop is a week long intensive study and hands on conservation workshop requiring student application and participation in a wide range of conservation topics. The workshop is intended to engage high school students to learn about natural resources and their management in today’s environment. Students participate in field study, tours, hands-on sessions as well as evening activities that focus on college-decision making and career decisions. Awards and scholarships are won and presented to the students under several awards programs.

Program participants are selected through their local Soil and Water Conservation District. Contact your local SWCD district in January of each year to find out their application process and dates. To find your SWCD visit here.
